Ann Carrington
Art is a part of every project we do, no matter the size or scope—we cannot live without it! We are fortunate to get to work with amazing artists and craftspeople and here we will introduce you to them, ann Carringtin. Beware—she will blow your mind.
This is the first piece we bought from Ann, and her highness follows us from home to home. She is made from hundreds of pearl buttons.
This is Ann’s take on the animal skin, made from Beanie Babies. It hangs in our twin sons’ room— a great mix of high and low as it hangs over the simple Ikea beds.
In our home in Great Barrington…
And in NYC we have Ann’s amazing portraits of great soccer players—like Zidane and Pele.
One of our favorite pieces made from bits of basketballs hangs on our oldest son’s wall.
Ann did a series of flags for a hotel we designed in New Jersey, all nations with a nautical history—here is her version of the Union Jack hanging in our home in Brazil.

Thank you for sharing “Her Majesty.” I now have inspiration to do something with all of the lose buttons at the bottom of my sewing box.
Thank you also for your wonderful show on HGTV. You have gotten me excited about design and being fearless about it.
