So now that we are getting to know each other, we would like to invite you to our house in the country. This is the weekend escape, the anti-NYC. Open the door and kids are free. We have moved so many times, but this house is our constant. If you took the tour of our house in NYC, some of it will look familiar—we told you we love to repurpose!

Every time we pull up to the house, the yellow shutters are a sunny reminder for us to leave stress of everyday life behind.

The open kitchen and super informal dining room-it’s all about relaxing and having fun.

The orange room – ‘Cause who doesn’t want to sleep with Madonna?

The green room – Bold color isn’t always in something new – my grandmother’s colorful quilt is on the guest bed.

We built this platform over the pool for lounging and cannonballs. The design was inspired by the lakes and docks all over New England.

The clean white porch is breezy in the summer, and warm and cozy in the winter.

We printed all the photos in black and white and framed them all in the same color frame for a modern and chic take on the typical photo wall. Start in the center of the wall and watch it grow. It continues to grow, just like our life and I feel blessed every time I see it. Also a great conversation piece for guests.

Winter is our favorite time of year at the house. We love to go skiing as a family. Our entire house is heated by the fireplaces.

When we’re up in the country we love to be outdoors. There’s nothing better than a bike ride on a crisp fall day.
